“The government employee unions can then enlist pro-union state governments to treat these health care workers as ‘government employees,’” Factor told The Daily Caller, “and unionize them just like they unionized the care providers” themselves.”
Is this why Andy Stern made so many visits to the WH?
“When Blitzer asks her to specify exactly how current or soon-to-be seniors would be impacted by the GOP plan, she cannot. Because theyre not. The Left is intellectually bankrupt on the very subject they claim will allow them to crush Mitt Romney in November. They despise the bipartisan solution Republicans have offered, but they have no alternative of their own. Dear Democrats, Medicare is slated to go bankrupt in 2024.”
“The latest estimate, as the chart details, is that Obamacare will cost $2.6 trillion dollars in its first real decade. The bill does not fully go into effect until 2014, therefore the estimate begins with that year.”
When are people going to wake up and realize all these government programs and projections always cost a lot more than advertised.
“Patrick Gaspard, executive director of the DNC, and DNC New Media Outreach Director Greg Greene both tweeted out profane messages after the ruling was announced on Thursday morning. Gaspard tweeted, “its constitutional. Bies.” Greene tweeted, “Overheard in the office: “TAKE THAT MOTHERS!!”
“Barack Obama suggested that any decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn his landmark healthcare law would send the country “backwards” and that Americans did not want to “re-fight” the battle over healthcare.”
Is it so hard for you Mr President to respect the rule of law and the decisions of the Supreme Court? Stop your Chicago hard core thuggish politics. We are tired of it.
“Well, that change would become apparent to seniors next October (the start of the open enrollment period for the following year), just weeks before the presidential election.
Enter the $8.3 billion “demonstration project” which HHS is using to temporarily keep those programs alive — at least until after the next election.”
The timimg of Obamacare implementation is suspect and political.
“If he’s not stopped, Obama will spend $8 billion in taxpayer funds for a scheme to mask the debilitating effects on seniors of his signature piece of legislation just long enough to get himself re-elected.”
Wake up call.
“It vastly underestimates how many employers will actually drop their employer health insurance and dump people into the government exchange,” Ryan said.In fact, he said private sector actuaries have told him that within a couple of years, about two-thirds of employers will “wash their hands” of offering health insurance to employees.
Does Nancy Pelosi know this?
“When patients are incapable of deciding what should happen if their heart stops beating — possibly because they are unconscious, suffering from dementia or unable to speak — a spouse, relative or other loved one usually has to make the difficult decision whether to sign an order to let them die naturally or allow extreme measures to keep them alive.”
I hear they are now putting “do not resuscitate” orders on peoples refrigerators. Obamacare’s way of containing costs.
“Now, add it all up, and the plan I’m proposing will cost around $900 billion over 10 years — less than we have spent on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and less than the tax cuts for the wealthiest few Americans that Congress passed at the beginning of the previous administration. (Applause.) Now, most of these costs will be paid for with money already being spent — but spent badly — in the existing health care system. The plan will not add to our deficit. The middle class will realize greater security, not higher taxes. And if we are able to slow the growth of health care costs by just one-tenth of 1 percent each year — one-tenth of 1 percent — it will actually reduce the deficit by $4 trillion over the long term.”
We knew it was a lie. Did he?
“President Obama’s national health care law will cost $1.76 trillion over a decade, according to a new projection released today by the Congressional Budget Office, rather than the $940 billion forecast when it was signed into law. Today, the CBO released new projections from 2013 extending through 2022, and the results are as critics expected: the ten-year cost of the law’s core provisions to expand health insurance coverage has now ballooned to $1.76 trillion. That’s because we now have estimates for Obamacare’s first nine years of full implementation, rather than the mere six when it was signed into law. Only next year will we get a true ten-year cost estimate, if the law isn’t overturned by the Supreme Court or repealed by then. Given that in 2022, the last year available, the gross cost of the coverage expansions are $265 billion, we’re likely looking at about $2 trillion over the first decade, or more than double what Obama advertised.
You knew this was coming.
“The reduction in the number of pregnancies compensates for the cost of contraception,” Sebelius said. She went on to say the estimated cost is “down not up.”
Sounds a little cold hearted to me.
“The Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched.”
No surprise here. Of course he would favor unions (voters for him) versus the military (non voters for him).
p>By contrast, private employers with a total of 69,813 employees, many of whom work for small businesses, were granted waivers.
Documents released in a classic Friday afternoon news dump show that labor unions representing 543,812 workers received waivers from President Barack Obama‘s signature legislation since June 17, 2011.
“The Obama administration Friday pulled the plug on a major program in the president’s signature health overhaul law – a long-term care insurance plan dogged from the beginning by doubts over its financial solvency.”
Misrepresented from the beginning. What other parts of Obamacare share the same fate?
