Republicans Against Science

via Republicans Against Science –

“Now, we don’t know who will win next year’s presidential election. But the odds are that one of these years the world’s greatest nation will find itself ruled by a party that is aggressively anti-science, indeed anti-knowledge. And, in a time of severe challenges — environmental, economic, and more — that’s a terrifying prospect.”

Anti-science? Anti-knowledge? Perhaps we should open a gulag for these people. Let’s not forget that Republican women are also anti-women because they don’t believe in taxpayers paying for abortions. Do you see a pattern here?

Mental illness rise linked to climate

via Mental illness rise linked to climate.

“RATES of mental illnesses including depression and post-traumatic stress will increase as a result of climate change, a report to be released today says.”

Climate skeptics are racist (see Al Gore) and now apparently mentally ill.

The hope and change hangover

The hope and change hangover | Hugh Hewitt | Columnists | Washington Examiner.

“Amity Shlaes described in her magnificent “The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression” how President Franklin Roosevelt and his group of political operatives and academic theorists prolonged the terrible times brought on by the Crash of 1929 by endless “innovation.”

It really is remarkable how closely Obama and the Democrats are following Roosevelt and his policies during the depression. They didn’t work.

Obama and the ‘Competency Crisis’

via Mortimer Zuckerman: Obama and the ‘Competency Crisis’ –

“Mr. Obama seems unable to get a firm grip on the toughest issue facing his presidency and the country—the economy. He now asserts he is going to “pivot” to jobs. Now we pivot to jobs? When there are already 25 million Americans who are either unemployed or cannot find full-time work? Does this president not appreciate what is going on?”

From a very successful business person and former supporter of Obama.

Is Rick Perry dumb?

via Is Rick Perry dumb? – Jonathan Martin –

Another Texas governor who drops his “g’s” and scorns elites is running for president and the whispers are the same: lightweight, incurious, instinctual.

Another hit piece of a conservative.  So predictable. If only they had vetted Obama we wouldn’t be in this mess.

Wausau Mayor: Labor Day Organizers Should Include Republicans

via NEW INFO: Wausau Mayor: Labor Day Organizers Should Include Republicans.

“Organizers of Wausaus Labor Day parade say Republican lawmakers arent welcome in this years event.”

This is how the left plays.

Obama’s Enablers

via Obama’s Enablers | The Weekly Standard.

“A saying of a friend of mine touches on why the media disserve Obama by tolerating his habit of offering excuses for every failure or shortcoming of his presidency. The saying goes, winners accept responsibility, losers make excuses.”

The fifth column.

Al Gore | Global warming | racists |

via Al Gore | Global warming | racists | The Daily Caller.

“One day climate change skeptics will be seen in the same negative light as racists, at least so says former Vice President Al Gore.”

You know Al, instead of calling people names why don’t you just agree to an open debate about this matter?

Perry vs. Romney? Go with Perry

Perry vs. Romney? Go with Perry – Deroy Murdock – National Review Online.

“Conservatives hungry for free — or at least freer — markets are stampeding toward Rick Perry. True, the cowboy-boot-wearing governor recalls Pres. G. W. Bush in style. Unfortunately, Willard Mitt Romney reflects him in substance.”

The choice.

Economy and Recession: Chance of Recession Is as High as 80%

via Economy and Recession: Chance of Recession Is as High as 80%: Study – CNBC.

The Philly Fed puts a recession probability at 85.7 percent, while the consumer survey puts contraction chances at 80 percent, according to Bank of America’s probability model, which uses a so-called Bayesian technique that “tests if the economy is in a recession based on the interaction of variables that are associated with turns in the business cycle.”

More bad luck.

Buffett the Enabler of ‘Too Big to Fail’

via Buffett the Enabler of ‘Too Big to Fail’ – TheStreet.

“It’s ironic that Buffett has said too big to fail is a problem regulators can’t stop, and yet he continues to plow money into the largest of U.S. banks with very favorable conditions for himself. Buffett told the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission last year that too big to fail will never be resolved, and that taxpayers will always bail out the troubled. This is the same person who told CNBC in January 2010 that the government shouldn’t have backstopped Goldman or Morgan Stanley.”

Is Buffett also trying to bail out Obama? He must be an ideologue because his public business decisions make no sense and are at odds with his own private decision making.

Obamas “Green Jobs” Pipe Dream

via Obamas “Green Jobs” Pipe Dream.

“On Friday, the Times printed a harsh assessment of the state of the “green” economy—including a conclusion that the President’s promise to create five million green jobs over 10 years has proven to be nothing more than “a pipe dream,” with California’s Bay Area providing a particularly poignant example of how “green” jobs have actually been lost, not gained.”

Wasted spending.

Black Voters and the Battered Voter Syndrome

Black Voters and the Battered Voter Syndrome.

Black voters remain defiantly loyal to Obama, despite suffering from his mishandling of the economy and Maxine Waters’ complaints about his focus on wooing white independent voters for his reelection.  But of course, Democrats have long taken blacks for granted. This loyalty in the face of bad treatment is reminiscent of battered wife syndrome (BWS).”

Black leadership deflects it’s own failures on others (i.e. Tea Party) and black voters keep on believing it.

Maxine Waters Needs a Mirror

Maxine Waters Needs a Mirror.

Queen of the poverty pimps Maxine Waters must so wish that Obama were a whole white man.  Democrat or not, if Obama were white, Waters would be heaping all the blame on those frail little shoulders of his.  But because Obama has been presented as “authentically black,” Waters was recently forced to stop short of condemning him.  Instead, she unleashed on the closest white item she could find: the Tea Party.

The Tea Party is three years old, Maxine — you’ve been serving for over twenty.  Many of the CBC have been serving even longer.  I say you and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus need to look in that mirror for the people to blame.  You will know that mirror when you see it, because it says: Objects in mirror are dumber than they appear.”

I guess when you run out of promises you can only blame someone else. When all else fails, deflect!

The Wacky World of Liberal Fundamentalism

The Wacky World of Liberal Fundamentalism.

Ironically, liberal attackers are guilty of far greater unscientific dogmatism, sloppy thinking, and mind-boggling confusion but fail to notice it thanks to a manufactured respectability that deters — if not forbids — close inspection.”

Liberals and their dieties.
