“The problem with Obama’s speech is that his words don’t match his actions. If you’re keeping score, how many times did he mention his administration’s profligate spending? How many times did he mention the administration’s meddling with energy exploration? How many times did he defend the taking of an individual’s right to decline health insurance?”

Too bad the blind can’t see.

“The irony is that while Solyndra may have been missing from the SOTU, Ener1 made an indirect appearance: “In three years, our partnership with the private sector has already positioned America to be the world’s leading manufacturer of high-tech batteries.” Uh, no. Actually, the correct phrasing is: “…positioned America to be the world’s leading manufacturer of insolvent, bloated subsidized entities that are proof central planning at any level does not work but we can keep doing the same idiocy over and over hoping the final result will actually be different eventually.”

More of the same. Keep supporting something that is not economical and taxpayers foot the bill.

“If President Obama wants to create a fairer country, shouldn’t he start by fairly portraying our tax code? Instead, he used his State of the Union speech to peddle a number of blatant tax falsehoods.”

More rhetoric and no substance from our President.

“The Commerce Department said Thursday new-home sales fell 2.2 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual pace of 307,000. The pace is less than half the 700,000 that economists say must be sold in a healthy economy.”

Things are getting better?

“Toward the end of his State of the Union address, President Obama delivered a paragraph that was so blatantly absurd and self contradictory as to actually become clarifying—so incoherent that it shed a bright light on his thinking and his grave dilemma.”

Where’s Joe Wilson when you need him. Another blatant lie by Obama- he doesn’t believe his own words.

“Warren Buffett’s secretary shouldn’t pay a higher tax rate than Warren Buffett,” President Obama said in September, when he unveiled his American Jobs Act proposal. It’s a trope that Buffett himself has repeated, as he has campaigned for higher taxes on investment income.”

A dishonest argument. Money that is taxed at capital gains rates has first been taxes at normal progressive tax rates, then reinvested. You want to encourage investments in the economy. It’s an apples and oranges comparison.

“It’s the last time Congress passed a budget. 1000 days later, we are operating without any plan. Oh, the irony that it is today — I can’t wait to hear about it during the State of the Union tonight. Just like last year’s State of the Union. The budget Obama tried to pass shortly thereafter, modeled on the ideas espoused during his speech, failed 97-0. It was so outrageous, not one Senator of either party would put his name to it.”

Totally irresponsible.

“Since “No Child Left Behind” was passed 10 years ago, states have been required to ramp up the amount of data they collect about individual students, teachers, and schools. Personal information, including test scores, economic status, grades, and even disciplinary problems and student pregnancies, are tracked and stored in a kind of virtual “permanent record” for each student.”

This is getting a little spooky.

“The police state in this country is growing out of control,” Paul wrote in a statement provided to The Daily Caller. “One of the ultimate embodiments of this is the TSA that gropes and grabs our kids and our seniors and does nothing to keep us safe.”

Profiling is the common sense answer.

“President Barack Obama says the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade is the chance to recognize the “fundamental constitutional right” to abortion and to “continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”

What a pathetic amoral justification for abortion.

“The 2012 election season has begun and this same media finds itself in the position of having to defend and reinforce the man they chose to sleep with. They have willingly opted to do exactly that. The mainstream media is systematically pulling out all the stops to destroy any and all viable Republican challengers in an undeclared but understood alliance with the Obama re-election machine.”

Amazing how partisan our media has become.

“Every person in here has had someone close to them go through painful things,” he said. “To take an ex-wife and make it two days before the primary a significant question in a presidential campaign is as close to despicable as anything I can imagine.”

First and longest standing ovation in a debate for one reason; media bias.

“Create an entirely new narrative. Push an entirely new issue. Change the subject from your record and your ideology, from massive debt and overreaching government, to fairness and inequality. Make the election a referendum on which party really cares about you, which party will stand up to the greedy rich who have pillaged the 99 percent and robbed the middle class of hope.”

Amazing how people can’t see through Obama’s ruse but Republicans are making it easier for him.

“The costs of servicing a growing national debt of more than $15 trillion are starting to squeeze out other budget expenditures. Americans are no longer affluent enough to borrow hundreds of billions of dollars to import oil, while we snub our noses at vast new oil and gas deposits beneath our own soil and seas.”

A lot of truth to this.

“All it tells us is that Obama is so obsessed with his reelection that, through some sort of political calculus, he believes that placating his environmental supporters will improve his chances.”
